Quito has many talented wedding professionals. I had the chance to work with a few of them on a photo shoot. It was a great showcase of their talents for the best wedding in Quito, Ecuador.
The location was the penthouse of Sylvia Reyes, one of Quito’s most celebrated art collectors. Her apartment has terrific views of the city. Her art collection is amazing.
Getting married in Quito?
Here is what you need to make your best wedding there:
A Wedding Artist
Wedding Artist and Stylist David Moscoso of Esteban Pozo Diseño Integral y Eventos by David Moscoso & Esteban Pozo is a favorite choice among Ecuadorian brides.
David Moscoso has an artist’s eye. He is a celebrated and talented Ecuadorian landscape artist.
One his paintings is behind us in the photo.
A Dress
Rosa Clara is the most luxurious boutique in Quito. They sell wedding dresses, accessories and celebration attire. David and I visited Rosa Clara together to select a few cocktail dresses for me to wear in the shoot. Rosa Clara’s imports all her dresses from Spain. They are beautifully displayed in the store. The boutique is very elegant and easy to navigate. Her team gives impeccable service.
A Makeup Artist
Karina Vicuña is one of Ecuador’s most celebrated makeup artists. Her salon Karina Novias is located in the northern part of Quito, but Karina herself is completely mobile. She sets up her ‘pop-up’ makeup studio anywhere in the city, and for that matter, in the world! For this photo shoot we sat in one of the guest bedrooms in Sylvia’s house.
A Photographer
Patricio Calle is one of the best photographers in Quito. He is talented and knows how to use natural light. He also captured the moments we enacted together in such a candid way. Patricio’s professionalism is unmatched by any other I have encountered during my travels. He and his Assistant Mickel are true masters of photography. So much so, they don’t need to utilize a lot of photoshop in post-production. Patricio also has a wonderful attitude.
Post-production was seamless. I met with Patricio and his team in his studio. We reviewed the photos and made the initial selection. He sent me all of my photos in digital form within a few days to review them for the final selection. Patricio graciously enhanced the few that needed retouching without sacrificing any natural essence.
